Since childhood I have always sought experiences that bring me closer to nature… it’s what brings insight, wonder, and a sense of harmony into my life. To me, being a Wild Woman means consistently choosing to grow by opening the mind, and living to learn, letting go of inhibitions, and tackling fears!

Since 2006 I’ve worked in various national parks across Canada – from working with bears in Banff, bison in Wood Buffalo, to the bones of the earth in Gros Morne. Throughout those experiences, I’ve worked primarily in guiding and interpretation; introducing visitors to the natural and cultural history of various regions through front country and back country hiking adventures. This interest in the human-nature relationship led me to complete a master’s degree investigating human attitudes toward bison in Wood Buffalo National Park.

I now work as an Adventure Specialist and Guide for WWE, and in my free time I teach yoga. I lead trips in my home province of Newfoundland & Labrador, and you might also see me on an international trip from time to time! I’m tremendously excited to be a part of outdoor adventure for women, because it’s a unique opportunity to meet women from various backgrounds who quickly become each other’s biggest supporters as they embark on new shared experiences.
