Deborah Tannen is a Professor of Linguistics at Georgetown University and author of many books and articles about how the language of everyday conversation affects our relationships. Of her previous books, the best known is You Just Don’t Understand: Women and Men in Conversation, which was on the New York Times bestseller list for nearly four years, including eight months as No. 1! We also loved You’re The Only One I Can Tell: Inside The Language Of Women’s Friendships and had to get Deborah on the podcast to share her wisdom!
