In addition, the staff and crew of the Sylvia Earle, a 130-passenger ship, may also be co-ed.

Arrival and Departure

This expedition starts in Punta Arenas, Chile (airport code: PUQ) and finishes in Punta Arenas (airport code: PUQ).

The Wild Women Way

If you’re wondering how we roll, it’s together. The Wild Women Way is our modus operandi, our mantra and our rock-solid foundation. You can learn more about our Wild Ways HERE.

How We Support You

Ready for a big Antarctica adventure? On this Women’s Antarctic Expedition, we brave the elements, hike uneven coastal terrain and have several Zodiac transfers (from the ship to Zodiac and from Zodiac to shore). Yes, it can be a challenge, but you’re never alone. Like thousands of women before you, you’ll draw on the strength you didn’t know you had and tap into your inner explorer.

Like all our trips, this trip can be scaled to suit different abilities and comfort levels. If you have concerns or reservations about your ability to complete or enjoy this trip for any physical or medical reasons, please contact us and let’s talk about it.

What the Trip Entails

  • checkmark icon Entering and exiting the Zodiacs
  • checkmark icon Maneuvering around tight spaces
  • checkmark icon Walking on uneven terrain
  • checkmark icon Being on a boat for an extended period of time
  • checkmark icon Due to strong currents, there may be moderate movement on the vessel while navigating. Some people experience seasickness. (You may wish to ask your doctor about seasickness medication or prevention tactics pre-trip.)
  • checkmark icon Please note that Wild Women small ship expeditions are not 100% Wild Women exclusive. While this expedition is women-led, some of the crew may be co-ed.
  • checkmark icon Physical Rating: Easy (Some physical activity is included. Trips are the most leisurely with an average of 1-4 hours of physical activity each day.)
