The world is big. Your list of places you still haven’t been is probably bigger. So here’s what’s coming up in women-only adventure travel and the Wild Women Expedition’s lineup this summer and beyond — nine trips worth rearranging your calendar for: Bali’s light. Mongolia’s silence. The stones at Machu Picchu that have outlasted everything. Standing at the edge of the Adriatic in Croatia, realizing some blues can actually heal you.
1. Bali Explorer — Indonesia
Some places have a frequency. Bali is one of them.
There’s something about the air there — thick with incense and frangipani, alive with ceremony — that strips away the noise. On our Bali Explorer, you’ll cycle through the green terraces of Sidemen, snorkel the crystalline waters near Menjangan Island, and do something genuinely meaningful: help restore coral reefs in Candidasa and plant your own mangrove tree. It’s not a resort trip. It’s a full-body immersion into one of the world’s most spiritually rich cultures.
You’ll find stillness in sacred temples, laugh through Balinese dance lessons, and wake up to sunrise over a volcano. The Balinese concept of Tri Hita Karana — harmony between people, nature, and the divine — you feel it in everything.
2. Croatia — Europe
Let’s talk about Croatia for a second, because it tends to surprise people. Yes, you’ve seen the photos. The Adriatic shimmering impossibly blue. The old city walls of Dubrovnik gold in the late afternoon light.
Our Croatia Active Adventure takes you into the waterfalls and emerald pools of Plitvice Lakes National Park, through the ancient streets of Split, and out onto the Dalmatian coast, where the sea feels like it was made specifically for you. Active, cultural, and utterly gorgeous. Europe has never looked so good. This trip is depth and history — not a rushed highlights tour.
3. Newfoundland Active Adventure — Canada
This is wild Canada — jagged sea cliffs, humpback whales breaching offshore, puffin colonies that look like something out of a nature documentary, and a culture so warm and distinct it feels like its own country. Our Newfoundland Active Adventure puts you on the trail along the coast and into the heart of one of North America’s most underrated destinations.
It’s also the kind of trip that makes you proud to be Canadian — or deeply jealous if you’re not. The icebergs alone are worth the trip. But then there’s the food, the music, the people.
4. Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu — Peru
The Inca Trail is one of those trips that lives on a list. You know the one. The list you made years ago, maybe in a journal, maybe just in the back of your mind. It’s been there ever since. Here’s what we want you to know: it’s time.
This eight-day trek follows the ancient footsteps of the Inca through cloud forest, alpine meadows, and mountain passes that will take your breath away — literally. You’ll arrive at the Sun Gate at dawn, Machu Picchu laid out below you in the morning mist, and you will feel something shift. Women who have done this trip describe it as one of the most quietly powerful experiences of their lives.
We keep our groups small. Our guides are exceptional. And yes, every single step is worth it.
5. Peru Explorer
Not ready for the Inca Trail but absolutely ready for Peru? We have exactly the trip for you.
The Peru Explorer is a deep dive into one of the world’s most layered destinations — the markets and colonial streets of Cusco, the Sacred Valley, a visit to Machu Picchu (by train) and the living culture of Andean communities that have been here long before anyone thought to put it on a travel list.
6. Iceland Hiking Adventure — Europe
Iceland doesn’t ease you in. It just opens up in front of you — lava fields, glaciers, waterfalls, and that particular northern light that makes everything look slightly unreal.
Our Iceland Hiking Adventure takes you into the landscapes that keep showing up in your Instagram feed, except you’ll actually be standing in them. Hiking the moss-carpeted trails of the highlands. Watching a geyser erupt. Soaking in a geothermal pool after a day on the trail while the sky does something extraordinary overhead.
7. Scotland Hiking Adventure
Scotland has a way of getting into your bones.
The Highlands are ancient and moody and magnificent, and there’s something about hiking through them — past lochs, through heather, along ridges with views that seem to go on forever — that feels ancestral, even if you don’t have a drop of Scottish blood. Our Scotland Hiking Adventure takes you through landscapes that have shaped stories and songs for centuries. If you love walking, history, wild landscapes, and the occasional dram, this trip is for you!
8. Mongolia Explorer
The Mongolian steppe is one of the last great open frontiers on earth. Sky that goes on forever. Nomadic herder families who welcome you into their gers for tea and stories. Landscapes so vast and unhurried they recalibrate something in you that modern life has been quietly compressing. Our Mongolia Explorer takes you into the Gobi Desert, across dramatic grasslands, and into a culture that measures wealth in horses and space.
This is women-only adventure travel for the woman who has done the “popular” destinations and is ready for something that genuinely surprises her. Mongolia will not disappoint. This is for you if you want the road less travelled — by a long stretch.
9. Small Ship Expeditions — The Edges of the World
And then there are the trips that don’t just change how you see the world. They change how you understand your place in it.
Our small ship expeditions take you to places most people will never go: We partner with Adventure Canada to explore the Arctic, Svalbard, the waters between the Faroe Islands and Iceland and Scotland. These aren’t cruises. They’re expeditions, led by naturalists and historians and storytellers, aboard intimate ships that get you close enough to hear the glaciers.
You might watch a polar bear pick its way across sea ice. You might stand on an uninhabited island that feels entirely your own. You might look up at the northern sky and feel, with complete certainty, that you made exactly the right decision.
Spots are limited — these ships are small by design, and the experience is intimate by intention. One more thing: our 2027 small-ship expeditions have some serious early-bird discounts on the table, but only until May 15th.
Women-only Adventure Travel
Here’s what we’ve learned after 35 years of taking women into extraordinary places: there’s always the one. The trip that makes you feel something the moment you read about it. Maybe it’s the one you stopped scrolling at. Maybe it’s the one you’ve already read twice.
We keep our groups small, our guides exceptional, and our focus exactly where it belongs — on the women who show up ready to say yes. This is what wild looks like. And there’s a spot with your name on it.
