Spend your days exploring the vast savannah on game drives in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, searching for lions, elephants, cheetahs, and giraffes across the sweeping plains. Stay in beautiful women-owned safari camps along the Mara River and experience magical evenings with sundowners, lantern-lit dinners, and stories shared beneath the African sky.
Continue north to the wild landscapes of Laikipia, where conservation and community come together. Here you’ll walk through the bush with expert guides, visit a local Maasai homestead, and spend time with Maasai women artisans learning the art of traditional beading. Your stay at Tumaren Camp, a female-owned lodge founded by an inspiring conservationist, offers an authentic and intimate look at life in this remarkable region.

Your Kenya Safari Adventure Begins
Your Kenya Safari Adventure starts now! Upon arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be met off the airplane by a representative who will assist you through the airport. You will be met in the arrivals area after the luggage claim by our driver where you will be transferred through the lively Nairobi to Ol Losowan, your first night’s stay and a woman owned property. Enjoy your first ‘sundowner’ of the trip, during a meet and greet and trip orientation with your fellow Wild Women travellers.

Day 2
Maasai Mara
Into the Maasai Mara
After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara. Upon landing at Musiara Airstrip, your professional safari guide will be waiting to welcome you and begin your journey into one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife landscapes. A short drive brings you to Roca River Camp, a beautiful female-owned tented camp where you will stay for the next three nights.
Settle in and enjoy a relaxed lunch overlooking the Mara River before heading out on your first Maasai Mara game drive. The sweeping plains are alive with wildlife, and it’s not uncommon to encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, or even a cheetah moving across the savannah.
As the afternoon fades, pause for sundowners with cocktails and snacks, either along the river or out on the open plains—an unforgettable moment as the sky glows with sunset colours. Return to camp for a lantern-lit dinner under the stars, accompanied by the sounds of the African night.
If timing allows, you may also meet Carol from the AKT Fund, who may join guests to share insights about the organization’s inspiring work supporting local communities and wildlife conservation in the Maasai Mara.

Day 3
Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara Wildlife & Culture
Wake early to the gentle sounds of the bush and enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea before heading out on a sunrise game drive in the Maasai Mara. Early morning is one of the best times to observe wildlife, as predators and grazing animals are most active while the savannah is still cool and quiet.
Later in the morning, enjoy a relaxed picnic brunch beneath an acacia tree, surrounded by sweeping views of the Mara plains. Return to camp for a restful afternoon—perhaps relaxing on your private deck or simply soaking in the peaceful rhythms of the wilderness.
In the afternoon, Maasai women artisans will visit camp to share their traditional beading craft, offering an opportunity to learn about their culture, create a simple piece of jewellery, and connect through stories and conversation.
As evening approaches, gather for sundowners on the plains, followed by a little fun with the Maasai warriors—perhaps trying your hand at spear throwing or a friendly game of Finska as birds glide overhead toward their roosts. Dinner tonight is a vibrant celebration of Maasai culture, with traditional dancing around the campfire and an inspiring story shared by a local woman beneath the vast African sky. ✨

Day 4
Maasai Mara
Conservation & Wildlife in the Maasai Mara
Begin the day with an early wake-up and a warm cup of coffee or tea before setting out on a sunrise game drive in the Maasai Mara. In the cool morning hours, the savannah is alive with activity as predators hunt and grazing animals move across the plains. Accompanied by your guide, spend the morning tracking wildlife before returning to camp for a relaxed and hearty breakfast.
Later in the morning, visit the inspiring AKT Fund, where you will spend a few meaningful hours learning about their impactful work supporting wildlife conservation and local communities in the Maasai Mara. Enjoy a picnic lunch during your visit while gaining insight into the initiatives helping protect this remarkable ecosystem.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure back at camp—perhaps relaxing on your deck or taking in the peaceful rhythms of the Mara. If you wish, you may choose to join an optional evening game drive, when wildlife emerges again in the soft twilight light.
As the day winds down, gather for sundowners beneath the vast African sky, sharing stories as the sounds of the bush settle into the quiet of night. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 5
Maasai Mara – Laikipia
From the Maasai Mara to Laikipia
After your time in the Maasai Mara, take to the skies for a scenic flight to Laikipia in northern Kenya. Upon landing at Nanyuki Airstrip, your guide will meet you and transfer you to the nearby Solio Wildlife Conservancy, one of the best places in Africa to see rhinos in the wild. Home to more than 350 rhinos, Solio offers remarkable wildlife viewing in a peaceful, uncrowded setting. During your visit, you’ll also stop at Solio’s Rhino Orphanage, a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and caring for orphaned rhinos and other wildlife.
After this inspiring encounter, continue with a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of Laikipia to Tumaren Camp, a welcoming female-owned camp where you will stay for the next three nights. Here you’ll meet Kerry, the inspiring founder who created Tumaren from a dream, and enjoy a deeper connection to life in this remarkable region.
After settling into your tent, take time for a cup of tea before heading out on a gentle guided evening walk to explore the surrounding landscapes and wildlife. As the sun sets, gather around the fire for sundowner drinks before enjoying dinner beneath the stars.

Laikipia
Walking Safari & Maasai Traditions
Begin the day with an early morning walking safari, exploring the landscapes of Laikipia on foot with your guide as you search for wildlife and learn to read the subtle signs of the bush. The walk concludes at a scenic bush breakfast by the river, a peaceful setting to enjoy the morning surrounded by nature.
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed game drive back to Tumaren Camp in time for lunch and a restful afternoon. Later, spend time with Laikipia Maasai women, learning the art of traditional beading while hearing stories about their culture and daily life.
In the early evening, set out on a gentle guided walk to a scenic sundowner spot, taking in the beauty of the landscape as the day begins to cool. Return to Tumaren Camp for dinner and a relaxing evening beneath ta sky full of stars.

Day 7
Laikipia
Exploring Laikipia
After breakfast, set out on a guided journey to a local homestead, experiencing the landscapes of Laikipia in a unique and immersive way. Along the way, you may choose to walk, drive, or ride a camel, combining a nature walk with wildlife viewing while taking in the sights, sounds, and scents of the African bush. Moving slowly through the landscape allows for a deeper connection to the wilderness and the rhythms of life in this remarkable region.
Return to Tumaren Camp later in the morning for time to relax. Enjoy a peaceful afternoon overlooking the nearby waterhole or unwind by the pool as wildlife passes through the surrounding landscape.
In the evening, head out on a gentle walk to a bush dinner beneath the stars, a magical setting to enjoy a meal in the heart of the wild. Afterwards, return to camp on a night game drive, keeping watch for nocturnal wildlife before settling in for your final night at Tumaren Camp.

Day 8
Tsavo
Ithumba Elephant Sanctuary
Early risers may choose to enjoy an optional morning game drive or guided walk before returning to camp for breakfast. After checking out, transfer to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight across the dramatic landscapes of northern Kenya toward Tsavo National Park.
Your flight traces rivers and ridges across the vast wilderness before arriving at Ithumba, a remote and inspiring refuge where rescued orphaned elephants are rehabilitated in the wild. Over the next two days, you’ll experience the extraordinary work of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, while enjoying time to relax in this peaceful corner of Kenya.
Upon arrival, the Ithumba team welcomes you with cool towels and refreshing drinks before a brief orientation and a relaxed al fresco lunch. Afterwards, settle into your tented lodge and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding wilderness.
In the late afternoon, witness one of Ithumba’s most special moments as the rescued elephants return to their nighttime stockade, a remarkable opportunity to observe these gentle giants up close. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and a restful evening.

Day 9
Tsavo
A Day with the Elephants of Ithumba
Begin the morning with a special visit to see the rescued orphaned elephants as they leave their nighttime stockade, enjoy their morning feeding, and head out into the wild with their keepers for the day.
Return to camp for a bush breakfast overlooking the rugged landscapes of Tsavo, taking in the sweeping views and peaceful surroundings. Afterwards, enjoy some time to relax by the pool before heading out again to watch the elephants gather at a nearby waterhole for their daily swim—a joyful and unforgettable sight.
Following this unique encounter, return to the lodge for lunch and a leisurely afternoon to unwind in this remote wilderness setting.
As evening approaches, you may choose to spend more time observing the elephants or simply relax at the lodge. Tonight, enjoy a final dinner in the heart of Tsavo, reflecting on the extraordinary wildlife encounters and experiences that have shaped your Kenya Safari Adventure.

Day 10
Nairobi
A Kenya Safari Farewell
After one last morning in the wilderness, transfer to Voi Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be transferred to Tin Roof Café, a welcoming female-owned café, where you will meet The Safari Company team for a relaxed farewell lunch. The café is surrounded by charming local boutiques, offering time to browse and shop for unique Kenyan crafts and keepsakes.
After this unforgettable experience, return to Ol Losowan House to relax, refresh, and enjoy a light dinner before transferring to the airport for your overnight flight home, bringing your extraordinary Kenyan safari adventure to a close.

How We Support You
Ready for a big Kenya Safari Adventure? We’re in it together. On this trip, we get up close with wildlife, hike over uneven terrain and camp in the wild. Yes, it can be a challenge, but you’re never alone. Like thousands of women before you, you’ll draw on strength you didn’t know you had and come out feeling like the goddess you are.

What the Trip Entails
Our Kenya Safari is an adventure for women who love wildlife and want an up-close, interactive experience. The activity level is moderate. We would like you to be comfortable with the following:
- Driving several hours each day in a 4×4 open-roof Land Cruiser in the parks on rough and bumpy roads
- Close encounters with wild animals such as lions, rhinocerous, elephants, etc. while in a safari vehicle
- Dusty and sometimes extreme daytime temperatures
- Solar showers may not have the on-demand hot water that you are familiar with at home
- A menu that might be unfamiliar to you
- You may get close to zebra, gazelles and other herd animals on the walking safari
- Having an armed park ranger (carrying a gun) with you at all times on the hikes
- Hiking over uneven terrain
- Physical Rating: Easy (Some physical activity included. Trips are the most leisurely with an average of 1-4 hours of physical activity each day.)
