Meet Disnarda
Disnarda Aragon Choque grew up in the mountains outside Cusco and is immensely proud of her Inca cultural heritage. She grew up speaking Spanish as well as Quechua, the language of the Incas and of the majority of the people who live in the mountains of southern Peru. She loves being in close contact with the natural environment. She trained formally at San Antonio Abad University, then spent the next two decades (guiding since 2002) proving that a good guide is really a translator — not just of language, but of a place.

Born and raised in Bali, Ayu Tirta has been leading adventures across her home island for over twenty years — and guiding with Wild Women since 2015. Bilingual, deeply rooted in Balinese culture, and endlessly generous with what she loves most about her island.
For Ayu, guiding women is about creating space. To slow down. Breathe deeper. Reconnect with what gets lost in the noise of daily life. Through yoga ( she’s a devoted yoga practitioner), cultural immersion, and time on the land, she offers something many women don’t realize they’ve been missing — until they find it in Bali. ✨

Meet Chhimi
Licensed as a cultural and trekking guide in Bhutan, Chhimi Dema has led treks in her country for more than 14 years. Like all our guides, Chhimi is a wild woman ready to take on any adventure. She’s particularly passionate about women’s empowerment. While guiding in Bhutan is a male-dominated profession, she thrives as a female guide and sets out to be the best she can be. Chhimi’s guiding philosophy embraces openness: she cultivates an environment where women can feel free to be themselves, share a love of the outdoors and make long-lasting friendships. Chhimi loves Bhutan, one of the most peaceful and beautiful lands in the world, and she can’t wait to share its wonders with you.

Meet Mouna
Mouna is one of the 3% of professional female guides working in Morocco today. Let that number sit with you for a second. Now picture her leading you through the Anti-Atlas mountains she calls home.
She grew up meeting travelers from every corner of the world, right in her own backyard. That early exposure planted something. By the time she finished university, the pull toward travel and toward sharing Morocco on her own terms was impossible to ignore.
Art. History. Photography. Mouna teaches all three in Amazigh, her mother tongue. Ask her about a Berber pattern woven into a rug, or the story behind a centuries-old kasbah, and watch her light up!
Her approach to guiding is about showing up, know your craft, and sharing your country the way only you can. For Mouna, that means Morocco through a woman’s eyes.

Meet Sherine
Sherine Sadek has been guiding travelers through Egypt for over 20 years. Two decades of knowing exactly which street corner catches the best light, which story makes a monument come alive, which question you didn’t know to ask.
She’s a graduate of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, married, raising two children, and somehow still finds time to give back. Sherine is an active member of a community service group focused on girls’ education and on helping divorced women build new skills and confidence. Ask her why, and she’ll tell you it’s simple: when women have knowledge, everything else follows.
Her guiding philosophy comes from the same place. Sherine wants you to see her culture as it actually is right now, not frozen in a textbook. Traditions holding steady. Others shifting. Women finding new ground every year.
Spend a day with her, and you’re not just touring a country. You’re getting a front-row seat to a history and culture in motion, from a woman who’s spent her life helping others understand it.

Meet Björk
Björk Jakobsdóttir will be the one leading you across Iceland on horseback — probably mid-song, definitely mid-story.
Born and raised in Reykjavik, Björk has spent most of her life in the saddle. She’s an expert in riding with a loose herd (the traditional Icelandic way), and she has this uncanny gift for matching horses to riders — somehow knowing which pairing will click before you’ve even said hello.
When she’s not guiding, she’s producing films and theatre with her husband Gunnar. The two of them are acclaimed actors, writers, and directors. Which explains a lot about why there’s never a dull moment on the trail.
But here’s what Björk will tell you matters most to her about these trips: the women. The friendships that form between strangers after a day on horseback. The conversations that unfold in the hot springs as the sun does that slow, impossible Icelandic thing on the horizon.
