Born and raised in Reykjavík, Sigrún spent all her summers between the age of 9 and 16 working on a farm on the south coast. That’s where she first fell in love with nature. Eager to explore the world, she embarked on a year-long trip to Canada in her late teens, where she developed a passion for skiing.
However, her journey didn’t end there. In fact you might say she spent the next 15 years cycling and skiing through Europe, going home every summer to enjoy Icelandic summer nights. It would be a crime not to. Sigrún resettled in Iceland 4 years ago and has ever since been sharing her passion for her country with visitors. She’s a qualified guide from the University of Akureyri and is a fluent english and french speaker.
