And the winner is…find out who won our “Celebrating The Moments of 2022” Photo Contest
This past month has been one sweet nostalgic time machine trip back to 2022. Thank you to everyone who submitted photos to our contest. We asked and you delivered, tenfold! When we first launched our photo celebration last year it was a no-brainer–we had to make this an annual thing!
We received 150+ entries from our Wild Women community. Our team loved seeing your smiling faces–we felt the pride and unbridled thrill of your accomplishments. The excitement of a first-time African safari and Arctic expedition were palpable.
The photo album we’ve been collating from your entries demonstrates what Wild Women Expeditions is all about. Forging friendships. Pushing limits and comfort zones. Finding support in a group and building unstoppable confidence with every journey, from Egypt to Everest. To view the full photo album of your amazing submissions, head to our facebook group or, click HERE!
What might not be a big deal to you is huge to a woman who is full of butterflies on her first international flight. For every woman who reaches Everest base camp, there are dozens more who are inspired by the photos and making changes to their routine in preparation for a similar summit, though it might be smaller. Tall or small, mole hills can be mountains for those recovering from knee surgery or hip replacement. Many Wild Women have never bought merino wool socks before or a backpack for that matter!
Whether it was walking 110km on the Camino Way to receive the official Compostela credencial as a pilgrim, or deciding to try kayaking for the first time, ever, in Baja, we saw it on your faces. We recognize that you are out there, pushing yourselves and your bodies to try something new and daunting. From our seasoned Wild Women who have been on five trips to the younger generation riding horses with their mothers to our grannies on safari, this community needs everyone.
This photo celebration was a bit of a selfish request from us because it proves that what we are doing works. It shows that the power of women is the greatest unity and we appreciate that you’ve chosen us to be a part of your cheerleading team.
Congratulations to Nancy Dekanich who sent us pics from her adventure in Torres del Paine Multisport Adventure in November. The winning photo (which you can see at the top of the page), was taken during their lunch break at the lake, after their morning bike ride. She has won a $1,000USD voucher to apply to a Wild Women trip. Maybe you’ll cross paths with her in the future! Until then, keep sharing your photos of your beautiful faces and places with us on WWE’s private Facebook community page.
It means the world to us.
