Land on a Secret Island
Discover the iconic Georgian Bay by the power of your paddle! With a secret island as our basecamp for four nights, together we explore this beloved region, full of panoramas, bird life and quintessential Canadian landscapes. Home to the world’s largest freshwater archipelago, the UNESCO Georgian Bay Biosphere consists of more than 30,000 islands that create puzzle-piece channels, sheltered inlets and deep lagoons to explore. It’s designed for the slow and serene pace of a kayak!

Awaken Your Senses
To add extra flavor, we’re joined by Chef Laurie Tester, an enormously talented, classically trained chef, who prepares carefully curated meals with your dietary needs at the forefront. We begin each day with a yawn-and-stretch yoga class before breakfast. This is a unique and intimate opportunity to combine kayaking and camping with outdoor yoga, meditation and creative workshops (like make-your-own mala necklaces), all deeply steeped in nature.
This trip was absolutely wonderful. Joedy and Heather made sure we were all prepared and had the best time possible all while being completely safe. The scenery is beyond compare, and the food, well all I can say is WOW. Outstanding. Laurie and Pauline created wonderful meals. Great memories!”

Day 1
Georgian Bay
Snug Harbour
We are picked up by a boat shuttle at Snug Harbour at 12:30 p.m. and arrive on the island in time for our first sumptuous meal. After lunch, our experienced guides share everything we need to know about camp life on the island. It starts with setting up our tents!
Once our camp is erected, we have an introduction to water safety and get ready to experience the island by kayak.
Tonight, immerse yourself in the land and disconnect from the outside world: meditate, chat with new friends or snuggle up in your sleeping bag for a solid night’s sleep in preparation of tomorrow’s busy day on the water.

Days 2–4
Georgian Bay
Adventure Awaits
Mornings begin with salutations to the sun before we head out in our kayaks for a day of exploring Georgian Bay’s endless islands with time-chiseled and weather-worn rock faces, gnarly cedars and rugged isles. Our afternoons are for relaxing, swimming, reading a few chapters or sitting in on a painting class with Heather. Each evening, we wind down weary paddling muscles with a peaceful sunset yoga session.
The island is also a wonderful sanctuary to explore on foot. Birders should be on high alert for pileated woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, red-breasted nuthatches, green herons, great crested flycatchers, bald eagles, ospreys and more!

Day 5
Return to Snug Harbour
Wind Down
Our adventure ends mid-afternoon after lunch, when we are picked up by our boat chauffeur and returned to Snug Harbour. From there we say our farewells and depart. If you didn’t bring your personal vehicle, grab the shuttle back to Toronto and be dropped off at the same spot you were picked up.
This “soft kayaking and camping” trip is designed to encourage future paddling trips—and thanks to Chef Laurie and your talented guides, this opportunity is full of flavor and watercolor memories to treasure!

How We Support You
Ready for a big adventure? We’re in it together. This is a backcountry sea kayaking expedition intended for intermediate to advanced paddlers. You must have some previous backcountry camping and sea kayaking experience on open water in various weather conditions and be comfortable wearing a spray skirt and performing a wet exit. Yes, it’s a challenge, but you’re never alone. Like thousands of women before you, you’ll draw on strength you didn’t know you had and come out feeling like the goddess you are.
Still have questions or concerns? Let’s talk about it.
