Let’s be real: you’re not here for ordinary. You’re interested in something wild, something meaningful, something that grabs your spirit and says, “Hey—you were made for this.”
At Wild Women Expeditions, we believe travel isn’t just about hopping around a map—it’s about becoming. It’s not just about seeing the world; it’s about meeting the world. It’s about stretching yourself across continents, conversations, and constellations. It’s about stepping out of routine and reconnecting—with the earth, other fierce women, and the deepest parts of yourself.
Why We Wander
Because it changes us.
The kind of travel we do? It’s bold. Gritty. Gorgeous. It cracks us open in the most beautiful ways. When we hike the Inca Trail or sail through the Galápagos islands, we’re not just snapping photos—we’re snapping awake. We’re closer to nature. Closer to ourselves. We watch the Sun Gate shimmer with ancient wisdom and something in us shifts.
To wander, for us, is an act of rebellion against the voice that says, “Maybe someday.” We say: Why not now?

Jenny just returned from a soul-stirring adventure in Costa Rica. Think jungle hikes and that warm, misty air that reminds you how alive you really are. Howler monkeys leaping overhead while sipping strong coffee in the cloud forest. This was a full-body, full-heart, Pura Vida kind of adventure—equal parts sweat, wonder, and wild joy. Costa Rica showed up big… and Jenny said yes to every moment.
Pura Vida! Rafting down 14km of the beautiful Sarapiqui River with our awesome guide Saray was so much fun! She knew exactly where to go and how to navigate our crew. Costa Rica gave us our adrenaline fix today.

Julie-Anne is fresh off a journey through Vietnam and Cambodia—two countries bursting with history, color, and the kind of sensory overload that shakes your heart wide open. Here’s her thoughts on Cambodia.
Descriptions cannot do a place like this justice. You need to see it for yourself to even begin wrapping your brain around the effort, skill, patience and span of time that a place so intricately detailed would take to form as it has.

From floating through limestone karsts in Ha Long Bay to wandering the ruins of Angkor Wat, she felt the pulse of ancient worlds. Her thoughts on her Vietnam experience:
Phuong’s friendly demeanour, her vast knowledge of Vietnamese society and history, and her ability to bridge the gap between cultures, language and help interpret what we were experiencing was phenomenal. Days like this one, strolling through and deeply immersing in local life of the lands we are fortunate to explore, are where the magic of traveling with Wild Women Expeditions occurs and could not be possible without the expertise and leadership of our amazing local women leaders.

And she’s not done yet—Mongolia is calling this summer.
Candice returned from Thailand recently—where the flavours, temples, elephants, and heartwarming smiles lit her up from the inside out.
Visiting ChangChill in Chiang Mai made my heart swell. To witness elephants simply being —wandering freely through the jungle, foraging, socializing, and living without performance or pressure—filled me up. As an animal lover, I felt honoured to stand just meters away, contributing to their well-being by simply observing, learning, and respecting. This wasn’t just a visit—it was a soul-stirring reminder of how powerful it is to let wild stay wild.

Next stop? Croatia. Adriatic coastlines, here we come.
Jodi packed her bags for a cultural deep dive into Morocco. It was her first international trip in five years! She had never explored small group travel for women and was intrigued, Think: spice-scented markets, Saharan sunsets, soulful desert hikes, and the kind of ancient hospitality that stays with you long after your return. Jodi returned with a full heart and open spirit—here’s a moment of reflection in the desert.
At night, the desert takes on a different tenor. It’s a velvet silence.

Aileen, one of our incredible community ambassadors, headed out on a Japan journey. She visited peaceful mountain temples and vibrant street markets and experienced the ancient traditions that shape this dynamic destination. Her journey was full of contrasts and deep connection. Her thoughts on small group travel for women in Japan:
The ancient Kumano Kodo pilgrimage is a sacred walk through Japan’s Kii mountain range. Trekking through camphor and bamboo forests, ascending mountain passes while cherry blossoms fall from the skies, forest-bathing among 1,000 year old cedar trees…these are just some of the delights.

Women-Only Small Ship Travel, Antarctica, and More

Our community engagement manager, Cline, is gearing up to host three unforgettable small-ship expeditions this summer. Here’s what she had to say (spoiler: she’s fired up!):
I’m excited to be hosting three small ship expeditions this summer: Scotland The Faroe Islands and Iceland, Iceland Circumnavigation and Heart of the Arctic. I’m thrilled to get a chance to return to the remote and rugged Faroe Islands. There’s so much to explore there and the topography is incredible. Iceland is one of my favourite places in the world, and after guiding horse treks and exploring the country from the ground since 2014, I’m stoked to get a chance to see the whole country by sea with stops in some new destinations for me. Heart of the Arctic is a dream trip for me. This trip emphasizes community connections and I’m excited to learn more about Inuit culture and traditions, and spend time in the only province/territory in Canada that I haven’t yet had the great pleasure and honour to visit: Nunavut.
